This is a special movie. All the awards it has received confirmed the fact. It is the simple sincerity that moves me. The young actress (I ferevently hope she may never be ruined by commercial productions!) has a rare innocence beauty of spirit that brought the movie to life for me.A mere RMB 24.80 was all it costs but the young protagonist struggled through her school vacation, displayed great enterprising attitude to earn it. It brought to mind how I too struggled and sought to earn an education for myself in my younger days. Though never as physically tested as much, I too faced many challenges.
